Visitors can view her paintings from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. Monday - Thursday, and Noon to 6 p.m. Saturday & Sundays in the main lobby.  The series is entitled "Seasons."  The first four donors of $250 or more to the Field House Restoration Fund will receive a painting at the end of the display period.

"I'm excited that my paintings will be able to again benefit a project of such importance to the town" says artist Crystal Landry, who also works as a stylist at De Novo Salon on Main Street. This is Landry's second display in support of the project.  Her first display this past Fall was well received by the community and immediately sold out providing a great cash boost to the project.

"I am very proud to be a part of the effort to restore the Field House facility." says John Mazzone owner of JamSpot rehearsal studios(http://www.jamspot.com).  "I grew up in Wakefield and it is great to be able to help in community betterment efforts."  John also remarked that he remembers how exciting it was when the field house facility originally debuted around 1973.  Additionally, John is an active supporter of the arts having rehearsal studio spaces in both Wakefield and Somerville, his studios host local musicians as well as national touring acts.

Anyone who visits the Charbonneau Field House at Wakefield High School can see phase one of the work which was completed this past fall.  The Warrior logo was restored and painted.  Most of the parking lot side of the building was painted as well.  Phase Two is being planned now by the restoration committee to include painting the other sides of the building, replacing some of the smaller signage and adding upgraded lighting.

Over the past few years, the local group has held fund-raising events for the field house restoration project. Chris Carino, a Wakefield High School alum; Rod Faulkner, Greenwood T Stop owner; and Mike Boyages, Wakefield High School Director of Athletics and Student Activities, are leading the effort.

The group will continue collecting donations at various events around town.  Donors who contribute $20 or more to the project will receive the famous "Wakefield Nation" T-shirt that the group has given out to thank community members for supporting the campaign.

"We were able to get the Warrior Logo replaced in time for Thanksgiving last year and many people took notice; we have since expanded our original goals to encompass most of the exterior of the building" Carino says. "It is important for people to stay involved for us to be successful, community support and donations remain crucial through the Spring months.  We're fortunate to have local artists like Crystal and Wakefield alumni who provide funding and services to make our facility world class."

Current progress of the project can be seen on a picture slideshow on the website http://www.wakefieldnation.com.
